This small ruin site in the Downtown Amman is called Nymphaeum. They say it is a ruin of a fountain. From the very start, the reason why there was a village in this valley was because of the small river and they could get enough water from it. Now the water flow became little, people built a blacktop road on the stream and the road is the main street in the valley of Amman Downtown. It means, the river was changed into a sewage system which goes under the road just before the Downtown.
