Iraq Al Amir is the remains of an ancient palace, located 15km west of Amman. It is not a very big building. You need half a day to and from Amman to visit.

When I visited here, I heard a strange story from a woman I met by chance. "When water pipes were built in this area some time ago, a lot of old coins were found. Those coins have historical value, so most of the coins went into the workers' pockets and sold in the market, and I bought some of those beautiful coins."

Near by this old palace, there are many caves.
