Aqaba, 365km south of Amman, is managed as a special economic zone. Many people buy electronic goods, blankets and alcoholic drinks to save tax. Beer is less than half the price from the rest of Jordan. There are ferry boats between Nuweiba in Egypt and Aqaba port.

I often visit Aqaba to swim in the beautiful Red Sea.

Town of Aqaba has an open-minded atmosphere. For example, this is the only town we can drink beer in the street. It is not a big town but people are used to foreigners since it is a port and tourist destination.
