Iraq Al Amir is the remains of an ancient palace, located 15km west of Amman. It is not a very big building. You need half a day to and from from Amman to visit.

From the car window many holes in the high cliffs can be seen. Those holes were used as houses in the past. The inside of some holes are big and if you go with torch you can see the ceiling stained with old soot and shining crystal formations. I found many fossils also.
